Bremen Town Musicians
The Bremen Town Musicians is a shadow puppet show that demonstrates the lessons taught in the “Light and Sound: Puppet-Theater Engineers” 1st-grade science unit.
Brother Coyote and Sister Fox
In this delightful and hilarious adaptation of a Mexican folktale…Brother Coyote wants one thing and one thing only, to catch and eat one of Doña Conchita’s plump chickens.
The Gingerbread Boy
Set in a magical world of candy, cookies and ice cream, too much spice is added to the batter and out pops the Gingerbread Boy who stops the production of holiday goodies. Follow the Gingerbread Boy to a giant gingerbread house on Candy Cane Lane, the Snowman in the Icicle Alps and the Gummy Gator at the Soda Swamp.
Winnie The Pooh
Join a wondrous Christopher Robin as his toys come to life in Thistle Theatre’s production of “Winnie-the-Pooh”. Originally created by Jean Enticknap in 1996, A.S. Milne’s whimsical classic recently entered the public domain and Thistle Theatre is once again able to bring this story to life.
Come join Thistle during summer 2024 for FREE public puppet shows around Puget Sound and beyond.

Tanabata Star Festival
Family Day at Seattle Japanese Garden (Festival opens 11am, show at 1pm) Our story of weaver Orihime & cowherd Hikoboshi features table top style puppetry, and tells the classic story of love and competing responsibilities among the stars, a popular story in many countries. The Tanabata Star Festival is traditionally celebrated in Japan on July 7, or generally in July and August. Performance is under 60 minutes. Suitable for all ages. See you at the show!
